ADMINISTRATOR

MITPP seeks an experienced Administrator.

Work three hours each day (plus a few hours on several evenings each year with notice far in advance.) You may choose your hours and work partly from home if you wish, except for set hours on Wednesdays at our offices on West 86th Street, east of Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan. A neighborhood resident is preferred.

Fluency in MS Word and the PC version of AOL is essential. Familiarity with HTML is a plus.

The position requires initiative, a professional attitude and phone manner, common sense, dependability, courtesy and a warm, outgoing personality. We seek a well-organized, hands-on, detail-minded, multi-tasker who is able to work independently, sometimes under pressure. You will work on your own but closely with the Director and Registrar. The work is extremely varied. Duties include public contact, coordinating events, keeping communications flowing, attending Board meetings, proofreading, working with our mailing house, interfacing with the staff and administration of other organizations, record keeping, computer work, filing, phones, occasional errands, the planning of and assisting at professional and social functions and more.

Before being interviewed, applicants will be briefly tested to demonstrate skill in Microsoft Word and the PC version of AOL.

For consideration, copy your resume into the body of an email. You must include an hourly salary or range. Email to mitppnyc@aol.com
